Allium cowanii

Allium cowanii is a synonym of Allium neapolitanum, Naples garlic, a Mediterranean bulbous species with umbels of pure white, lightly scented flowers carried on slender stems in spring. The strap-shaped foliage dies down soon after flowering. This easy, free-flowering species naturalises readily in dry gardens and open woodland. It is planted in autumn, in a sunny to part-shaded position, on well-drained soil, to flower the following spring.
