Crinum asiaticum var sinicum
These are the giant Australasian crinums that form a big, stout pseudostem instead of a real bulb. The basal plate becomes hyperdeveloped in those species. Le bulbe est reduit à une plateau basale et une grosse tige épaisse. À 30 cm au dessus le sol épanouissent les grandes feuilles larges et rigides. The genus
Crinums originate mainly from the subtropical and tropical climats of Asia and Africa . They are extremely long lived ( 20 years or more!) in the same place. Well fertilised and watered, they will grow vigorously and flower throughout the summer. The bulbs are very large, weighing upto 1,5kg and are ,therefore, very expensive to ship; this extra cost is included in the indicated prices.
