Crinum 'Emma Jones' is a hybrid cultivar raised around 1950 by crossing Crinum 'Cecil Houdyshel' and Crinum 'Peachblow', named in honour of its breeder's wife. Like other Crinum, large bulbous plants of the family Amaryllidaceae, it forms a clump of long, glossy green, strap-shaped leaves arising from a large tunicated bulb. From summer to autumn, a tall stem bears around ten large, scented, trumpet-shaped pink flowers. It likes full sun, rich, well-drained soil, and is susceptible to hard frost.
