Crinum moorei ‘Album’ /50

In its native South Africa (Natal), this species grows in shaded positions along streams. It has very elegant soft green foliage, which can be destroyed by frost (but the vegetation will start again in the spring). The pure white bellshaped flowers are on 80cm tall stems.

The genus

Crinums originate mainly from the subtropical and tropical climats of Asia and Africa . They are extremely long lived ( 20 years or more!) in the same place. Well fertilised and watered, they will grow vigorously and flower throughout the summer. The bulbs are very large, weighing upto 1,5kg and are , therefore, very expensive to ship; this extra cost is included in the indicated prices.
