Crinum x powelli rose Aphrodite
This is an interesting selection with widely opened flowers Vigorous hybrid is hardier than either parents. During the summer, it produces long flower stalks with 4-6 pink-coloured trumpet-like flowers. 1/2005 Ulf Eliasson:It is the hybrid of: bulbispermum x moorei AND moorei x bulbispermum. The botanical code state that the hybrid name include all hybrids between the two species.
The genus
Crinums originate mainly from the subtropical and tropical climats of Asia and Africa . They are extremely long lived ( 20 years or more!) in the same place. Well fertilised and watered, they will grow vigorously and flower throughout the summer. The bulbs are very large, weighing upto 1,5kg and are ,therefore, very expensive to ship; this extra cost is included in the indicated prices.
