Crocosmia crocosmiiflora Babylon — Montbretia
A new Dutch hybrid, orangy-red flowers with a dark centre on an unbranched inflorescence.
The genus
Crocosmia is also known under the name of Montbretia (although this name often refers to the small flowered cultivars). A very popular genus from the eastern part of South Africa. On condition that summerwater is provided and mulch protection during the winter is given they are easy to grow.
