Cyclamen intimatum

The name Cyclamen intimatum most likely refers to Cyclamen intaminatum ("unblemished"), a tiny species endemic to oak woodland in western Turkey, growing at 100-1,100 m elevation. This miniature cyclamen arises from a small tuber and bears near-round leaves that are plain green or marbled with silvery grey. From late summer into autumn it produces small white flowers with grey veining and no dark blotch at the mouth, appearing before or with the leaves. Because of its diminutive size it is best grown in pots or an alpine bed, kept free of excess summer moisture.
