The epithet "featherhill" could not be reliably matched to a registered species or grex of Cymbidium — it may be a nursery name or a garbled hybrid designation. The description below therefore applies to the genus in general: Cymbidiums are sympodial, pseudobulbous orchids native to tropical and temperate Asia through to Australia, with evergreen strap-shaped leaves. In winter and spring they produce long, arching spikes bearing numerous long-lasting, waxy flowers in varied colours. They are grown in a free-draining orchid mix, in bright light without direct sun, with a drier rest in winter. Species not confirmed; description given at genus level.
