The label "frocey...anum..." is too degraded to be identified with confidence, although the ending "-anum" recalls the epithet of several Cymbidium species (such as C. tracyanum or C. hookerianum). Lacking confirmation, the description below applies to the genus in general: sympodial, pseudobulbous orchids with evergreen strap-shaped leaves, growing as epiphytes or lithophytes in montane forests of tropical Asia. They flower in autumn or winter, producing long, arching spikes bearing numerous fleshy flowers, often striped or spotted, sometimes strongly fragrant. Grown in a free-draining orchid mix, in bright filtered light. Species not confirmed; description given at genus level.
