Cymbidium mui…gae

Category photo (no photo of its own for this entry)
The label "mui...gae" is too incomplete to be confidently matched to a specific Cymbidium species. The description below therefore applies to the genus in general: sympodial, pseudobulbous orchids native to montane forests of tropical and subtropical Asia through to Australia, with evergreen strap-shaped leaves. Flowering, occurring in winter to spring depending on the species, produces spikes bearing numerous long-lasting, often fragrant, fleshy flowers in varied colours. Grown in a free-draining orchid mix, in bright filtered light, with regular watering during the growing season and a drier winter rest. Species not confirmed; description given at genus level.
