Dierama dracomontanum

Dierama dracomontanum, the dwarf fairy wand or angel's fishing rod, is endemic to the Drakensberg mountains of South Africa (KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, Free State) and Lesotho, often growing above 2400 m. This evergreen cormous geophyte forms clumps of fine, arching, grass-like stems bearing, in summer, numerous pendent, salmon-pink bell flowers in loose sprays. Compact compared with other Dierama species, it nonetheless flowers very freely. It requires rich, well-drained soil, a sunny position, regular to moderate watering, and, thanks to its mountain origin, tolerates cold well.
