Eucharis is a genus of bulbous plants in the family Amaryllidaceae, native to the humid tropical forests of South America, chiefly Colombia, Peru and Ecuador. Known as the Amazon lily, it forms broad, glossy, evergreen foliage topped with umbels of large, fragrant white flowers shaped like daffodils. Grow indoors or in a heated greenhouse, in rich, well-drained soil, in partial shade, with constant warmth and humidity; cannot tolerate frost.
