Chlidanthus fragrans (Amaryllidaceae), the perfumed fairy lily, is a bulbous plant native to southern Peru. In summer it bears an umbel of 2 to 5 upright, funnel-shaped, golden-yellow flowers with a strong citrus fragrance, carried on a stem about 25 cm tall above narrow, grey-green foliage. Grow in full sun, in light, well-drained soil, planted shallowly; hardy to around -4 °C, protect or lift the bulbs in cold climates.
