Freesia hybride jaune

This plant corresponds to a horticultural Freesia hybrid with yellow flowers, whose precise species or cultivar remains uncertain, so the description is limited to the general features of the genus. Freesias form a genus of about twenty cormous species native to southern Africa, in the iris family (Iridaceae). Their narrow, upright, sword-shaped foliage accompanies a flowering stem often bent at a right angle, bearing a one-sided spike of funnel-shaped flowers, yellow in this case, well known for their strong fragrance. They grow in full sun, on rich, well-drained soil, are frost-tender, and become dormant after flowering.
