Fritilaria

The genus Fritillaria includes around one hundred bulbous species from the Northern Hemisphere, belonging to the Liliaceae family. It gathers very diverse plants, from small meadow fritillaries to the tall crown imperial, all characterised by nodding, bell-shaped flowers, often chequered or marbled. Flowering takes place in spring.
