Gladiolus ?sp? ‘ Kogelberg’

This wild Gladiolus, not identified with certainty, was collected in the Kogelberg area, a Western Cape nature reserve famed for its sandstone fynbos and ranked among the richest biodiversity hotspots on Earth. Like other Cape gladioli, it grows from a tunicated corm and produces narrow, sword-shaped leaves and a spike of funnel-shaped flowers, with flowering often triggered by fynbos fires. Grow in full sun on well-drained, acidic soil, with a dry summer rest.
