Globba wintii schomburkii

This plant most likely corresponds to Globba winitii, an ornamental ginger from Southeast Asia known as "dancing ladies", sometimes confused with or grown alongside the closely related, similar-looking Globba schomburgkii. These gingers produce leafy stems topped with a pendulous inflorescence of persistent pink bracts, from which small yellow flowers emerge. Flowering occurs in late summer. They grow in part shade, in rich, humus-laden soil that stays moist but well drained, and dislike temperatures below 10°C.
