Habranthus robustus

In mild winters H. robustus is evergreen. Should be left undisturbed for several years. After a drought period ten days following a heavy watering or a rainstorm the large soft pink flowers will appear.

The genus

A South American genus, very close to Zephyranthes, with only minor botanical differences. Habranthus has inclined flowers with etamines of different lengths.
