Haworthia maraisii

Haworthia maraisii is a small succulent native to the Cape Provinces of South Africa, named in honour of botanist Wessel Marais. It forms slowly proliferous rosettes up to 7 cm in diameter, with dark green, opaque leaves with truncated (retuse) tips marked with translucent "windows," sometimes edged with small spines. From spring to summer it produces white flowers veined with greenish brown, borne on an unbranched spike up to 30 cm tall. It is grown in bright, filtered light, in a well-drained mineral substrate, with a winter rest period.
