Haworthia turgida

Haworthia turgida is a succulent native to the Cape Provinces of South Africa, growing in dense clusters on rocky limestone or slate cliffs. It forms rosettes of fleshy leaves, light to darker green depending on exposure, with translucent tips forming small "windows" that let light penetrate. Reaching 10-12 cm tall with a spread of up to 30 cm, it offsets freely from the base. White, tubular flowers appear in spring on a slender spike. It is grown in bright light, in a well-drained mineral substrate, with a winter rest period.
