Lilium henryi is a lily native to the mountains of central China, in the Liliaceae family. Vigorous and hardy, this species produces tall stems bearing numerous orange, strongly recurved flowers speckled with brownish-purple, with little noticeable scent. Flowering occurs in late summer. Unlike many lilies, it tolerates lime soils, and is grown in well-drained soil in sun to part shade; it is also an important parent of many garden hybrids.
