The genus
Most Hesperantha come from the bulb paradise Namaqualand in South Africa . Its name literally translated from Greek means "evening flower" because the flowers open during the evening. Most are white or creamy and have a very pleasant scent to attract the night pollinators such as moths. It is advisable to plant the small bulbs in pots.
