HESPERANTHA GENERAL

Most species of this genus come from the "paradise of bulbs", Namaqualand (South Africa). Its name, translated from Greek, means "night flower", because its flowers only open at sunset. They are generally white and deliciously scented to attract nocturnal pollinators. Because of the small size of the bulbs, it is advisable to grow them in pots.
