Arum hygrophilum (Araceae) is a delicate Mediterranean arum, native to the Levant and the eastern Mediterranean (Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Cyprus, Turkey), where it grows along streams and in damp ground. This perennial tuber produces bright green, arrow-shaped foliage in spring, followed by an inflorescence with a cream spathe edged in maroon and a dark spadix, from February to May. The plant then enters summer dormancy. Grow in part shade, in soil kept moist during growth and dry in summer.
