Brodiaea ixioides, now reclassified as Triteleia ixioides, is a cormous plant from California, in the Asparagaceae family, known as "golden stars." It produces an umbel of star-shaped yellow flowers, each tepal marked with a brownish-green midline, carried on a slender stem in summer. The foliage dies back before flowering. It is grown in well-drained soil, full sun, with a dry summer rest after flowering.
