Lachenalia orchioides ??

Native to the Cape provinces of South Africa, Lachenalia orchioides grows in stony soil on slopes and flats. This bulbous geophyte reaches up to 40 cm, with one or two erect, lanceolate leaves, plain or spotted, and a flowering stem that is often mottled. The sessile flowers, crowded into a dense head, oblong-cylindrical, are greenish-yellow or pale to dark blue depending on the population, and pleasantly scented. Like all Lachenalia, it is a winter-growing bulb that is completely dormant during the hot, dry Cape summer. It requires well-drained soil and a sunny position.
