Leopoldia Muscari comos plumosum

Also known as Muscari comosum 'Plumosum', this striking naturally occurring form of the tassel hyacinth (Leopoldia comosa), native around the Mediterranean and cultivated since antiquity, has an inflorescence entirely transformed into a dense, feathery plume of thread-like, violet-blue sterile flowers, lacking normal fertile blooms. Growing from a tunicated bulb, it produces narrow, strap-shaped leaves and a 20-40 cm stem bearing this decorative plume in spring. Being sterile, it is propagated by bulb division. It requires full sun, well-drained soil, and a dry summer rest.
