Muscari luteum

Muscari luteum is a small bulbous plant in the Asparagaceae family, related to the grape hyacinths. It is distinguished by its yellow flowers, an unusual colour in a genus usually blue or violet, gathered in a dense raceme atop a short stem. The narrow basal foliage appears in autumn or late winter. Flowering occurs in spring. This Mediterranean species is grown in well-drained soil in full sun, ideal for rockeries or borders.
