The Lycoris, which originate from China, Korea and Japan, ressemble the more well known Nerines The colours are generally yellow, red and pink. Flowering is reputed to be difficult. But in a well chosen place and after 2-3 years without disturbance the flowers stalks will suddenly appear during the end of the summer.
