No reliable information could be found for a Lycoris hybrid or cultivar precisely named "Westlake" or "Northbell Ringing"; it may be a recent, regional, or mistranscribed horticultural selection name from the original label. This description is therefore given at the genus level, Lycoris (Amaryllidaceae): East Asian bulbous geophytes characterised by foliage that appears separately from flowering, and by leafless stems bearing, in summer or autumn, umbels of flowers with narrow, often wavy tepals, in shades of red, pink, white or yellow. They require well-drained soil and a pronounced summer dormancy.
