Gladiolus murielae

Gladiolus murielae, the Abyssinian gladiolus or fragrant gladiolus, is a species native to the Ethiopian highlands. In late summer it bears star-shaped white flowers, blotched with purple at the throat and strongly scented in the evening, on an elegant, arching stem. Plant the corms in spring, grow in full sun, in rich, well-drained soil; lift before frost for frost-free winter storage.
