The genus Narcissus (Amaryllidaceae) comprises about fifty bulbous species native mainly to the Mediterranean basin, the source of thousands of garden cultivars. The flowers, made up of a spreading perianth and a more or less developed central corona, open from midwinter to spring depending on the species. As the exact species is not specified for this item, this description remains at genus level: narcissi are grown in full sun to part shade, on well-drained soil, planted in autumn.
