Narcissus caniculatus

Narcissus caniculatus (a spelling variant of Narcissus canaliculatus), now included within Narcissus tazetta subsp. tazetta, is native to the Mediterranean Basin. It is a dwarf form of the tazetta group, forming clustered bulbs with narrow, channelled, grey-green leaves. The 15-20 cm stem bears, in spring, an umbel of 3 to 8 small fragrant flowers with a reflexed white perianth and a short golden-yellow cup. Like other tazettas, it needs full sun, well-drained soil and a dry summer rest after flowering.
