Narcissus dubius
Found in the hills of the south of France and Spain. Possibly a natural fertile hybrid between N. papyraceus (tazetta) et N. juncifolius, but looks like a full member of the tazetta group. 3-4 small pure white flowers on a 20cm tall stem. This species naturalises well by seed.
The genus
Narcissus mainly comes from the mountains in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean region. From the enormous range of hybrids and cultivars only a very limited selection is presented. Our choice, determined by their ability to persist in a mediterranean garden, is mainly directed to the botanical species and the tazetta group. As the roots of most species are persistent, Narcissus bulbs benefit of being left undisturbed for several years.
