Narcissus tenuifolius x triandrus

Category photo (no photo of its own for this entry)
This hybrid combines Narcissus bulbocodium var. tenuifolius, a fine-leaved form of the Iberian hoop-petticoat daffodil, with Narcissus triandrus, the 'angel's tears' daffodil of rocky pastures in Spain and Portugal. The bulb produces narrow foliage and a stem bearing one or more nodding flowers, with reflexed tepals and a flared corona, in tones intermediate between the yellow of one parent and the creamy white of the other. Flowering, often fragrant, occurs in spring. It requires a sunny position, well-drained soil kept cool during growth, and dry summer dormancy.
