Narcissus triandrus x jonquilla

N. triandrus 'Hawera': 2-3stems each with several pale yellow pendulous flowers with perianth segments slightly folded back. Also suitable for naturalising in sandy parts of mediterranean gardens. This N. triandrus hybrid is raised in New Zealand by Dr. W. Thompson in the 1930's. Great for naturalising.
The genus
Narcissus mainly comes from the mountains in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean region. Of the enormous range of hybrids and cultivars only a very limited selection is presented. Our choice, determined by their ability to persist in a mediterranean garden, is mainly directed to the botanical species and the tazetta group. As the roots of most species are persistent Narcissus bulbs benefit of being left undisturbed for several years.
