Neobakeria angustifolia

The genus Neobakeria, formerly recognised within the Hyacinthaceae (now Asparagaceae), has been merged into the genus Daubenya following recent taxonomic revision; the precise species named here, Neobakeria angustifolia, cannot be reliably documented from available sources. Plants in this group are bulbous geophytes endemic to southern Africa's winter-rainfall zone, generally with narrow leaves in a basal rosette and a compact inflorescence held close to the ground. Like other members of the group, it likely requires well-drained sandy soil, a sunny position and a dry summer rest.
