Nerine bowd x Lycoris squam.

This plant corresponds to an attempted intergeneric cross between Nerine bowdenii, a bulb from South Africa (Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal Drakensberg) with pink flowers in an autumn umbel, and Lycoris squamigera, a bulb native to East Asia (China, Korea) whose spring foliage dies down before a late-summer display of fragrant pink flowers on bare stems. Both parents belong to the Amaryllidaceae and share a pronounced summer or winter dormancy. Such a hybrid, rare and poorly documented, would likely inherit pink, umbel-borne flowers, and should be grown in well-drained soil, in full sun, with winter protection depending on climate.
