Nerine rehmannii

Nerine rehmannii is a small bulbous plant native to southern Africa (Swaziland/Eswatini, Gauteng, Mpumalanga and the northern provinces of South Africa), growing on rocky outcrops. The bulb produces one or two short, thread-like leaves (up to about 9 cm) and a slender scape roughly 15 cm tall. In late summer or autumn it bears an umbel of small white flowers with wavy, recurved tepals and contrasting violet anthers. A summer-growing species, it becomes dormant from autumn to early summer in the wild, though it may stay semi-evergreen in cultivation. It requires very free-draining soil and full sun.
