Ornithogalum reversonii

A very vigours Ornithogalum which resembles very much O. umbellatum, but not at all weedy and much taller. Its development is much later and the individual flowers are larger.
The genus
The genus consists mainly of winter-growing species from Europe, the Near East and South Africa which are available for planting during the summer and autumn. A few evergreen or winter-dormant species come from the eastern part of South Africa which are presented in our winterplanting catalog. Flowers are very often white with a green median line arranged in a raceme (though some south African species are yellow or orange).
