Cyclamen coum (Primulaceae) Pewter Group is a silver-leaved selection of this tuberous plant native around the Black Sea, developed in part from crosses by British breeder Kath Dryden. The rounded leaves are almost entirely pewter-coloured with a fine green edge, forming an elegant setting for the magenta-pink flowers marked with purple and white at the throat, from January to March. Winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Grow in part shade, in humus-rich, well-drained soil; very hardy, slow-growing.
