Muscari racemosum, a historical name often treated as Muscari neglectum, is a small Mediterranean bulbous plant in the Asparagaceae family, widespread in the wild across southern Europe. It produces narrow, arching foliage from autumn, followed in spring by a dense raceme of small, slightly fragrant, blackish-blue urn-shaped flowers edged in white. Hardy and easy to grow, it thrives in well-drained, sunny soil and naturalises readily in meadows or borders.
