Romulea viridibracteata

Romulea viridibracteata is a cormous Iridaceae described in 1972 by South African botanist M. P. de Vos, endemic to Pakhuis Pass in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Documentation on this little-cultivated species remains scarce; it can nonetheless be placed within the general characters of the genus Romulea — small, tunicated corms, fine cylindrical leaves, and flared, cup-shaped flowers opening in sunshine, typical of fynbos flora. Like other Cape Romulea, it needs sandy, free-draining soil, a sunny position, and a dry summer dormancy.
