Tristagma

Tristagma is a genus of perennial bulbous plants of the family Amaryllidaceae, native to Argentina and Chile. The species produce narrow, sometimes fragrant, foliage and scented star-shaped flowers, solitary or grouped in an umbel depending on the species, in shades ranging from white to blue-violet. Flowering takes place mainly in late winter and spring. The genus is closely related to Ipheion and Nothoscordum, with which several species were long confused before recent taxonomic revisions. Grow in well-drained soil, full sun, in a border or rockery.
