Triteleia terretrii

The exact species designated by this name could not be confirmed, so this entry describes the genus Triteleia in general. Native to western North America, chiefly California and Oregon, Triteleia is a genus of cormous Asparagaceae closely related to Brodiaea, comprising about fifteen species growing in grassland, open woodland and rocky slopes. The basal leaves are narrow and linear, often withered by flowering time. Erect stems bear an umbel of funnel-shaped flowers, blue, violet, white or yellow depending on the species. Grow in full sun and well-drained soil, with a dry summer rest.
