The genus

n May when most other South African Iridaceae have withered aways the Tritonias are still in full glory. The beautiful spikes densely crowded with numeous flowers incline under its weight. Those with a taste for soft pastel colours don't deprive yourself. Leaves appear allready in October and should therefore be planted early in a sheltered position or in pots.
