Watsonia BB sp 1? densiflora

This accession belonging to the genus Watsonia (Iridaceae), native to southern Africa, is tentatively identified as Watsonia densiflora, though the identification remains unconfirmed. Found naturally in KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape of South Africa, this cormous perennial produces a fan of narrow, linear to lance-shaped leaves and a flowering stem reaching up to 1.5 m. In summer, an unbranched spike bears around thirty curved, tubular pink to purple flowers with spreading lobes.
