Zephyranthes citrina



A small plant from central America with dark green flat foliage which can remain evergreen in milder areas. Small yellow flowers during late summer.
The genus
A genus widely distributed throughout America and generally found in wet areas. We have not yet explored many of the 30 species of this genus, but it seems to contain many interesting plants from all sorts of habitats. 'Rain lilies' generally flower after a heavy rainfall. Once established they are best left undisturbed. The genus is similar to Habranthus .
