Winterflowering bulbs

ombrière janv 2017

Dear gardening friends,

The end of decembre we (with the help of the family) have restored the cover of the shadehall. The new netting of 40% shade had  been successfully submitted to strong winds and temperatures of -4°C. All south african Iridaceas have survived well (see recent photo attached).

The species availalble on the website  have been revised recently. Over the last two years many species have been withdrawn, but the offre still remains interesting; from now onwards you can reserve for summer 2017 planting.

Also note that during February-March there is a very interesting promotional offer of Iris unguicularis, which tolerates well being transplantion during that period.

Inspite of the cold during Janaury there are still many bulbs in flower:

Iris unguicularis and also Narcissus tazetta (esp, Paperwhite) since November, Anemone coranaria which will last until April. Also flowering in the wild garden: snowdrops (Galanthus elwesii), Crocus ancyrense, Chasmanthe, Cyclamen pseudibericum/coum,  Hyacinthus orientalis.

if you are interested in visiting the flowering, please contact us for a RV.  Also we have planned a day "Portes ouvertes" on the 22/04/17.

Look forward to seeing you.
